Time Just Keeps on Flying

Once again, I am shocked at the length of thine that has passed since my last blog post!  I continue to tell myself that I will post more regularly and then 3 months go by and I finally get around to making time to post an update.  I will try to update more regularly...maybe this will be my New Years Resolution (it's not too late to make one of those is it?).

So let's catch up...
Thanksgiving:
We visited Cincy for Thanksgiving and had a great trip. We flew and had no issues traveling with Avery. In fact, having her along made the airport navigation quicker because we got use the special security line for strollers and wheelchairs.  We were pleased to find that Ohio was having unseasonable warm weather, but I was slightly disappointed that the baby bunting thing I searched high and low for was unnecessary. I was all ready to see baby girl in the zip up body coat! Please, image the little boy's coat in A Christmas Story and then you will understand why I was so excited to bundle my baby up.

Avery's Baptism:
On Sunday, December 23, 2012 Avery was baptized at Estill United Methodist Church near Johnny's hometown. We chose to have Avery baptized here because of the significance the church has to the Rhodes family and so that more family would be able to celebrate this special occasion with us.  The Rhodes helped to build this church long ago and Johnny was baptized here. We were so happy that many family and friends came to witness this special day for our family. It always makes me feel so blessed to to be surrounded by our family and friends for such special events. I hope to share these memories with Avery as she grows up because it shows how loved she is by so many.

Christmas:
Christmas was well CRAZY. We spent Christmas with Johnny's family this year and enjoyed great time with family. Nita was in from California so she and Dana fought over who got hold Avery, and Mimi made sure to get her time with Avery too.  Santa was very good to Avery for her first Christmas and so was all of our family! We are still breaking her new Christmas toys out, so she made out pretty good. We left Brunson after dinner on Christmas Day and headed home to Columbia. We had planned to leave for Cincy early on the 26th, but bad weather and Avery's cold kept us home that day. We ended up leaving on the 27th and still having a good trip to visit our family in Ohio.
