The Name Game

After lots of thought and much debate, Johnny and I have decided on a name for our baby girl.  We considered family names, names that I had secretly been putting on a list over the years, and consulted numerous websites for inspiration.  I even told Johnny at one point that a name he suggested was more appropriate for a secretary instead of the president of the United States (you never know-it could happen).  I practiced writing the initials of the name we chose and of course the monogram, these are the important factors after all!  We are proud to announce that we plan to name our baby: Avery Elizabeth Rhodes.  I hope she grows up to like her name!

In other news, we have started to put Avery's nursery together.  While in Cincinnati for the holidays, I selected our bedding and my mom graciously purchased the set because it was being discontinued and wouldn't be available for long.  I've posted some pictures that I took of the bedding below, but if you're curious or prefer the professional photos here's a link to the website: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/catherine-nursery-bedding/

We have already purchased a chest of drawers and dresser, and soon we'll order our rocker.  The next step is to decide on a paint color for the room.  Hopefully, we can accomplish this over the upcoming weekend and finally complete the last couple items to transition our guest room completely into the basement.

I am now in my 25th week of pregnancy and starting to feel more tired and experience the backaches that everyone warns you about.  However, for the most part I feel pretty good and overall I think I've been blessed with a good pregnancy so far.  Johnny can now feel Avery moving in my belly, which is a very exciting thing for us to share.  I am also proud and relieved that I passed my glucose test last week.  Here's a picture of my belly development from 24 weeks.  Sorry, I missed getting a shot of me this week, so look for a 26 week comparison.
