2011 Holidays

Tis the Season...to be so busy that you don't update your blog for over a month.  Johnny and I celebrated Christmas with Johnny's family the weekend prior to Christmas and traveled to Cincinnati to celebrate Christmas with my family. We came home to South Carolina to celebrate New Year's and have a few days to relax at home.  While the weeks leading up to the holidays were very busy for us (hence no blog update), we've had a nice and relaxing holiday break.
As soon as we arrived in Cincinnati, we gathered with our family and telephoned Johnny's parents to announce our baby's gender.  We had a gender-reveal cake with my family and had stashed a present at Johnny's parents that would identify the gender of Baby Rhodes.  Moments after cutting into the cake and seeing the pink icing in the center, we called Johnnys family to listen to them open the gift that would announce that we're having a little girl.  It was very special to be able to share this announcement with my family in person, since we don't have many opportunities to all be together.

Cheers

While in Cinci my friends and family kept telling me that my baby belly was growing by the day and it did seem that overnight I went from barely a bump to a definite baby bump.  Perhaps it was the all the Skyline we ate while in town!  At least now I look pregnant and not just a little thick through the midsection.

Here's some side by side comparisons:
December 11th:19 Weeks

Christmas Day: 21 Weeks

New Year's Day: 22 Weeks
