Changing Day by Day

Once again a lot of time has passed since my last blog post, but we have been busy hitting milestones and making memories.  Last month we celebrated Avery's 1st Birthday and I still can't believe that she is over a year old now.  I can still remember our snuggly naps that I would indulge in while I was home on maternity leave like it was just yesterday.  Now my baby is learning new things everyday and is WALKING! She's easily been walking if we would allow her to hold onto one of our hands, but she wasn't confident to get up and go on her own, until now.  In the past couple of days she has been getting up and toddling here and there.  Recently, Avery and I have started attending a baby class at The Little Gym once a week and it has been a blast.  She has so much fun during her class and I just love seeing her so excited and happy.  She loves to climb on the mats, hang on the bar and especially perform summersaults complete with "Ta-Da" at the end!  Here's some more updates about what Avery has been up lately and some pictures:

Weight: 19.1 lbs (She was 18 lbs at her 12 month visit)
Height: 27 inches
Eating: drinking cows milk (loves it) and we have stopped all bottles, bananas are now tolerated and enjoyed, avocado is still a favorite, and ravioli is a new favorite.  Avery is still a great eater and enjoys almost every concoction I cook up for her.
Talking: Avery jabbers all the time in her baby language but she has recently started adding more words that we can recognize.  She now says Dada, Daddy, Mama, night-night, bye-bye, uh-oh,  up (when she wants picked up), and quack quack as in a duck says quack quack.
Activities: Avery has recently stared signing back to us to request more food and express that she is sleepy.  She now blows kisses, waves bye-bye, attempts to say hello when she holds a phone up to her ear.  She knows where her head, feet, and toes are and we are working on belly.  She seems to understand simple commands like "come here", "bring xyz to me", and "give me a kiss".

Enough talk let's see what Avery has been up to the past few months:

`1st Birthhday!!!!
