A Blog Update....At Last

I cannot believe that I have let so many weeks go by without a blog update!  It has been on my 'things to do list' week after week, but I never seemed to have the energy after completing all the tasks that had to be completed first.  I was motivated today by my friend, Leslie Childers, because she pointed out that this will likely be the last opportunity I have for awhile, since we are so close to Avery's birth and after Avery's born all blog updates will focus on her. 
To sum up the last week few weeks I would say that we have been very busy and fortunately I have felt pretty good.  We had a shower in Johnny's hometown that was hosted and attended by his family and we also visited my family in Cincinnati for a shower.  After all of the showers, we had lots of baby supplies to wash and organize in the nursery.  We also made a big trip to Buy Buy Baby to purchase the remaining necessities, which had to be washed and organized as well.  I've noticed that Avery is not even here yet, but our water bill has start to increase just by preparing for her arrival.
I am feeling pretty good for a woman at 39 weeks into pregnancy.  Fortunately, the cooler weather has kept significant swelling at bay.  I've had contractions on and off for a week now, but no actually labor despite the Dr. saying "it could be any day now".  We have scheduled an induction for Thursday, May 3rd if labor does not start on it's own first.  We are hopeful that I will start labor on my own, but it's somewhat comforting having an ending date set.  Please, keep us in your thoughts and pray for a safe delivery and a healthy baby.
